=== Life Sketch ===
Adelheid van Zutphen ( Zutphen, around 1030-after 1059 ) was a daughter of Liudolf van Brauweiler, Count of Bonn and Zutphen, and Mathilde van Zutphen, daughter of Otto I van Zutphen. Mathilde was such a (confined) granddaughter of Emperor Otto II ( Ottonen ) (973-983).
Adelheid entered into a marriage with Godschalk van Zutphen and Twente, who died around 1063.
Children of Godschalk and Adelheid were:
1.) Gebhard, Count of Twente (Gerard I van Loen)
2.) Otto de Rijke, Count of Zutphen (died 1113, married to Judith van Arnstein or Supplinburg
3.) Gumbert (Humbert), clergyman, monk at the Corvey abbey and then at the Abdinghofkloster in Paderborn
According to the researches of Donald C. Jackman, the following two children of Adelheid would also be:
4.) Godschalk II, Lord of Gennep
5.) Herbert, lord of Millen, the father of St. Norbert van Xanten, the founder of the order of the premonstratenzers
