  Hugues de Rethel names his parents Manasses and Judith in a charter to the church of Braux in 1081.(1) A charter from 1094 grants absolution to Earl Hugh with the consent of his son Earl Manasses.(2) In 1117 Hugh donated property to the church of St. Mary of Noveyo.(3) The "Historia" of Monk Aimon lists Milicent as a child of Guy de Montlhéry.(4)
