The details:
Note that there are differing theories regarding Stenkil's parents, and that *Ragnvald the Old* and *Ragnvald Ulfsson* are likely two different people.
From the Wikipedia entry for Astrid Njalsdotter:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astrid_Njalsdotter
"Astrid Njalsdotter [...] was a Norwegian noblewoman who married *Ragnvald the Old* and became the ancestress of the Swedish Stenkil dynasty [...].
"Our only source for Astrid is "Hervarar saga ok Heiðreks," which says that she was the daughter of Njal Finnsson from Halogaland.[...] According to the saga, she gave birth to Stenkil who became a Jarl in Sweden and later inherited the kingdom in c. 1060. Since her grandsons, the Swedish kings Halsten and Inge the Elder, may have been born around 1050-1060, her marriage probably took place in the 1020s or 1030s. Nothing is known about the time when she died.
"Her husband *Ragnvald the Old* is otherwise unknown. IN OLDER HISTORIOGRAPHY IT WAS COMMON TO IDENTIFY HIM WITH *RAGNVALD ULFSSON*, a Swedish or Geatic Jarl who served under King Olof Skötkonung in the early 11th century.[...] However, THIS RAGNVALD WAS MARRIED TO THE NORWEGIAN PRINCESS INGEBORG TRYGGVASDOTTER and the father of Ulf and Eilif, >>>and is nowhere associated with Stenkil.<<< A SECOND MARRIAGE OF RAGNVALD TO ASTRID IS THEREFORE MERE GUESSWORK.[...]"
From the Wikipedia entry for Stenkil:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stenkil
"The Hervarar saga [...] describes Stenkil as the son of *Ragnvald the Old* and Astrid Njalsdotter, the daughter of Njal Finnsson [...]. *Later historians* have [named the father of Stenkil as] "Ragnvald Ulfsson," who was the earl of Staraja Ladoga and the grandson of the legendary Viking Skoglar Toste. BUT THIS PRESUMED FAMILY-CONNECTION IS NOT SUPPORTED BY ANY OTHER SOURCES AND MUST THEREFORE BE REGARDED AS VERY UNCERTAIN. The Icelandic sagas mention a wife and two sons to Ragnvald Ulfsson but none are identical with Stenkil and his mother Astrid.[...]"
From the Wikipedia entry for Ingeborg Tryggvasdotter:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingeborg_Tryggvasdotter
"Ingeborg Tryggvasdotter was the daughter of Tryggve Olafsson, the granddaughter of Harald Fairhair, and the sister of Olaf I of Norway. She married the Swedish earl *Ragnvald Ulfsson* [...]. >>They had two sons<<, Uleb Ragnvaldsson and Eilif, who became earls in Kievan Rus'."
From the Wikipedia entry for Ragnvald Ulfsson:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ragnvald_Ulfsson
"He has been considered to have fathered king Stenkil, with Astrid Nialsdotter from Norway. HOWEVER THIS IS BASED ON LATER ICELANDIC SOURCES, and [linked to] Ragnvald the Old of [the] Hervarar saga."
