=== Life Sketch ===
Henry of Burgundy (c. 1035-January 27, 1070/1074), called the Gallant (le Damoiseau), was the eldest surviving son and heir of Robert I, Duke of Burgundy and his wife, Helie of Semur, and a grandson of King Robert II of France, thus making him a member of the House of Capet through its Burgundy cadet branch. Little is known about his life and he died shortly before his father, and thus was never duke himself. Two of his sons became dukes in succession after his father's death, while a third son became Count of Portugal through his marriage to Theresa, daughter of King Alfonso VI of León and Castile.
The name of Henry's wife is not known, though both Sibylla and Clémence have been suggested. The first of these derives from an undated obituary from Besançon, Sainte-Etienne, naming "Sibilla, mater ducus Burgundie" (Sibylla, mother of the Duke of Burgundy), it being reasoned that since she is not called duchess, she must have been married to the sole father of a duke who was not a duke himself, Henry. However it has been argued by Jean Richard that this is a reference to Sibylla of Burgundy, Duchess of Burgundy, mother of the then-ruling duke, Hugh II. Richard proposed based on the name's repeated use among the descendants of her son Odo I, Duke of Burgundy that she may have been named Clémence, although Odo's wife had a sister, Clementia of Burgundy, who could have been the inspiration for its use among their descendants. Based on the use of the byname Borel by Odo I, genealogist Szabolcs de Vajay proposed that his mother was the daughter of Berenguer Ramon I, Count of Barcelona and his third wife, Guisle of Lluca, and hence granddaughter of count Ramon Borrell, although there is no documentary evidence that this was the case. Henry's wife died on or after July 6, 1074.

=== Hendrik I (Reims 4 mei 1008 - Vitry-en-B ===
Koning Hendrik I stierf op 4 augustus 1060 in Vitry-en-Brie. Hij werd opgevolgd door zijn zoon Filips I van Frankrijk, die 7 was op het moment dat zijn vader overleed. Zijn weduwe Anna van Kiev was zes jaar lang regent.

A place-holder has been used for the unknown wife of Henri. This is because the actual name and birth details for his wife are unknown, but with such a long history of speculation about who she was, there are a lot of people who have one or another unsupported name in their GEDCOM file. It is important to have an entry that explains the situation, rather than a completely empty field for his wife, because otherwise the next person who comes along will be convinced that the guess they have in their GEDCOM is authentic additional information, rather than information that has already been rejected in favor an 'unknown' being the only appropriate answer. Such a place-holder also lets it be explained exactly why the versions people have are a problem, not something that can be done if the field is left completely empty.
The place-holder is currently called 'wife', but could just as well be 'unknown' or '?', though the latter will return an error for use of an inappropriate character in a name field.

=== Merged General Note: King of France fro ===
Merged General Note: King of France from 1031 to 1060, was born about 1008, died in 1060 in Vitry-aux-Loges (Vitry-en-Brie), buried at St. Denis. He was the Duke of Burgundy 1015-1031. He is the least-known of all the Capetian Kings; no one wrote about him in his lifetime, and the destruction of the archives shortly after his time has left a huge blank over this period. All that is known is that his mother, Queen Constance, contested his right to the throne, which she wanted to go to Robert; this resulted in a war between the two brothers, of which little is known. Henry won it by buying the support of his vassals, which cost him French Vexin and the total renunciation of the duchy of Burgundy in favor of his brother, in 1034. Without the benefit of the coronation it is likely that Henry, who appears to have been a mediocre man, would have been brushed aside. But the anointing brought him respect and won time for, concessions. Managing to remain in power is after all a sign of stability, and despite the obscurity of his reign it saw a strengthening of the dynasty. He was crowned co-king with his father in 1026. He married (1) Matilda, daughter of Emperor Conrad II, niece of Emperor Henry II. of Germany. The most interesting aspect of Henry's life was his attempt to bring about a Franco-Russian alliance by marriage. According to one record he then married (2) Matilda, daughter of Mgve Liudorf of Friesland. After the death of his second wife Matilda in 1044, he married, rather late in life in Riems in 1051, (3) Anne of Kiev, daughter of Yaroslav, the Russian head of state, and granddaughter of Valdimir I of Kiev, in Russia. They had the following children:
