Left-II (or III) Salins (around 1030-after 1100), is Lord Salins in xi th century .

He is the son of Gaucher I st Salins 1 and Aremburge. He alienated in favor of Bernard, Abbot of Baume, the church of Dompierre which came under the possessions of Hugues and Narduin de Châtillon and he consented to the donation of the chapel of Saint-Germain in Bourg de Grozon. He took charge of attorney for the town of Salins. He founded the priory of Saint-Nicolas de Salins to whom he gave two of his subjects with their descendants (current practice which consisted in "giving" inhabitants of the fiefdom in servitude), half of a land named Anglar with his tithes, a house located in the town of Salins to serve as a hospice, finally he made donations to the abbey of Balerne.

Note: GAUCHER [III] de Salins (-after 1087). "Dominus Vualcherius, Salinensis oppidi prefectus, filius alterius" donated property to Romainmotier by undated charter, dated to before 1057[1258]. "Vualcherius filius Vualcherii filii Humberti" donated property to Romainmotier, with the consent of "uxori meæ Beatrici…et filius meus Humbertus, tunc parvulus", by charter dated 1084[1259]. “Guichardus eiusdem ecclesiæ canonicus et archidiaconus” donated property inherited from “matris meæ Ermenburgæ...avus meus genitor eius Humbertus...Salinis”, and which “frater meus Humbertus” later granted him, to Besançon Saint-Etienne by charter dated 27 Dec 1087, the same charter recording that later “Gualcherius avunculi eius Gualcherii filius”, anticipating his inheritance from the donor, claimed the property from the church but that “Gualcherius et filii mei Humbertus et Hugo” confirmed the donation[1260]. An undated charter records the donation to Balerne abbey made by “senem Waucherium” and later confirmed by “Humberto et...a genere suo...usque ad dominam Nicolam cujus sponsus...Simon de Comarceio...eiusque heredes Hugo, Waucherius”[1261]. m BEATRIX, daughter of ---. "Vualcherius filius Vualcherii filii Humberti" donated property to Romainmotier, with the consent of "uxori meæ Beatrici…et filius meus Humbertus, tunc parvulus", by charter dated 1084[1262]. Gaucher [III] & his wife had two children:
a) HUMBERT [III] de Salins ([1075/80]-before 1133).
