=== Life Sketch ===
Ring Dagsson (964 - after 1021) was a Viking warlord, King of Hedmark, Norway between 998 and 1021. Rørek ruled in diarchy with his brother Ring Dagsson of Ringerike . Both were sons of the warlord Dag Ringsson and one of the five kings who opposed the reign of Olaf II of Norway .
After an attempt to organize an army against King Olaf failed due to the betrayal of Ketil Kalv, King Olaf, warned of the plan, marched with 400 men to Ringsaker before dawn and surrounded the house where the kings were sleeping. They were all taken prisoners; King Rørek had his eyes gouged out and King Gudrod had his tongue cut out, the other two were banished from Norway and Olaf took possession of their kingdoms.
