He was an assistant to the prince of Changyi as a young man, and later became an imperial assistant. On one occasion, while accompanying Emperor Wu on a trip, he accidentally took the chair of another assistant and was accused of robbery; His sentence was castration. After mutilation, he became an eunuch of the Court, and served as a minor officer.
There is no mention of his wife.
