Note: Dedad Deagha mac Suin HUSBAND: Dedad Deagha mac Suin. (Deda mac Sin-S2)(Dedu)(Dedad)(Dega). King of the Érainn of Ireland. May also have been a King of Munster. Born about 100AD in Ireland; son of Suin Mac Rosin, King of Dál Riata. (S1). He died about 153AD in Ireland. (S1). Ancestor of the Clanna Dedad. A proto-historical sept of the Clanna Dedad are known as the Dáirine, descending from Dáire mac Dedad and/or Dáire Doimthech (Sírchrechtach), and are later known as the Corcu Loígde. Alternatively this may be used synonymously, with some confusion created by their identification with the Darini of prehistoric Ulster. In any case, the Darini and Iverni are clearly related. (S3). There is also an Ogham of Dedu (Ogam Dedad) found in the Book of Ogams. Over one third of all Irish ogham inscriptions are found in the lands of his descendants the Corcu Duibne. (S3). WIFE: ? CHILDREN of Dedad Deagha mac Suin: Ivar Mór Ottangus mac Deadha. (Íar mac Dedad). He married Sinusa. (S1,S3). Dáire mac Dedad. (S3). Conganchnes mac Dedad. (S3). Dui Dallta Dedad was a foster-son of Dedu. (S3). SOURCES: [S1]. Dedad Deagha mac Suin Ui Eremoin. Geni. http://www.geni.com/people/Dedad-Deagha-mac-Suin-Ui-Eremoin/6000000002447117214. [S2].
