  OsClaudius (em latim: Claudia; pl. Claudii) eram uma das mais proeminentes casas patrícias da Roma Antiga e sua origem remontava os primeiros dias da República Romana.   Brief Life History The Claudius (in Latin: Claudia; pl. Claudii) was one of the most prominent patrician houses of Ancient Rome and its origins dated back to the early days of the Roman Republic. The first of the Claudius to reach the consulate was Appius Cláudio Sabino Regilense, in 495 BC, and, from then on, its members frequently occupied the highest posts of the Roman magistracy, both in the republican and in the imperial period.[1].
