=== Life Sketch ===
After the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot was afraid to stay in Zoar and so he and his two daughters resettled into the hills, living in a cave.[Genesis 19:30-38] The elder daughter, seeing that there were no men to marry, told the younger that they should instead sleep with their father to continue their lineage. To this end, they plied Lot with wine until he was too drunk to know what he was doing. The elder then lay with her father without his knowing. She then insisted that her sister do the same - which she duly did on the following day. From these incestuous unions, the older daughter conceived Moab (Hebrew מוֹאָב, lit., "from the father" [meh-Av]), father of the Moabites;[Genesis 19:37] while the younger conceived Ben-Ammi (Hebrew בֶּן-עַמִּי, lit., "Son of my people"), father of the Ammonites.[Genesis 19:38].
