=== Life Sketch ===
Amenemhat I or Amenemath I (Egyptian: jmn-m-ḥȝ.t; Romaniz: Amenemhat, lit. "Amon is in charge") was the first pharaoh and founder of the 12th dynasty of Egypt, one of the most important of the Middle Kingdom. He reigned from 1976-1947 BC. (according to Jürgen von Beckerath) or between 1991 - 1962 BC. (according to Nicholas Grimal). It is thought that it was during the XI dynasty that the cult of Amon was consolidated in Thebes.
