=== Life Sketch ===
Guillaume Albéric Taillefer of Toulouse (born around 1157, died 1183) was Count of Grenoble, Count of Viennese and a Count of Albon from 1164 to 1183. He was the son of Raymond V, Count of Toulouse, Saint-Gilles, Duke of Narbonne, Marquis of Gothie and Provence, and Constance of France.
He was married in 1164 (at the age of seven) to Béatrice d'Albon (1161-1228), dauphine de Viennese and comtesse d'Albon, the only daughter of dauphin Guigues V d'Albon and Béatrice de Montferrat, and who herself was only 3 years old. Alberic's father, Marquis of Provence, sought to forge alliances in Provence to oppose his rival, the Barcelonan Raimond-Bérenger II, Count of Provence.
in 1167 c'est son uncle Alphonse de Toulouse, Governor of Dauphiné pour son neveu Albéric Taillefer, qui est en guerre contre Humbert III, comte de Maurienne, terminée par l'intervention de Pierre II de Tarentaise.
In 1180 Guillaume dit Taillefer, Count of Grenoble, for the soul of Count Guigues, his predecessor, gave the brothers of Tamié the locality of Cerno, in the territory of La Combe, and what he had from the Belmenger meadow to the territory of Avalon3.
In 1183, shortly before his death, Taillefer, Count of Viennese and Albon, gave St Jean-Baptiste and the brothers of Durbon pasture for their animals, free passage through his domains, he also confirms the alms of his father Raymond, Duke of Narbonne, Count of Toulouse and Marquis of Provence.
Albéric died in 1183, at the age of 26, without posterity. His widow, Beatrice d'Albon, remarried on 1 September 1183 to Hugh III, Duke of Burgundy.
