  Funeral Services Held For Mrs. D. A. Groat
  
  Funeral services for Mrs. D. A. Groat, former resident of this city were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the congregational church at Riverton, by Rev. William Wilson of this city. Interment was made in the cemetery at Riverton. Mrs Glen Mountford sang two hymns, with Mrs. N.B. Bush as her accompanist.
  Sarah Alice, the daughter of Albert and Catherine Overleese, was bornJuly 13, 1875 at Elkhart, Indiana and passed away at Denever, Colorado, April 27, 1946 at the age of 70 years, 9 months, and 14 days.
  In the year 1880 she moved with her parents to Red Cloud. Most of her remaining years had been spent in the vicinity of Red Cloud and Riverton.
  In 1896 she was united in marriage to David A. Groat. To this union six children were born, four sons and two daughters. Two sons and onedaughter preceded her in death.
  For quite a few years she was physically handicapped, but she refusedto yield entirely to the frailties of ill health, and steadfastly attended to business matters and her own requirements in a manner that would have been commendable in even a younger person.
  She leaves two sons, Roland and Bert of Oakland, California; one daughter, Goldie, of Sacramento, California; one brother, Art Overleese ofRiverton; four grandchildrem amd two great grandchildren.
  Her two sons and Mrs. Roland Groat, her daughter and her brother wereamong the relatives at the services.
