Robert II de Béthune was the son and heir of Robert I de Béthune and his unknown wife. He was a French noble from Artois, and succeeded his father as feudal lord of Béthune and Richebourg and as lay protector of the Abbey of St-Vaast at Arras.
He is also recorded as feudal lord of Hénin-Liétard and is last mentioned in 1067.
The name of his wife is unknown, but his eldest son and heir was Robert III de Béthune.
