  Ebenezer Blakeslee, son of Samuel and Hannah (Potter) Blakeslee, was born at new Haven, Connecticut July 17, 1664 and was one of the earlier settlers of North Haven, Connecticut. In his house the Presbyterians held their religious services until a church was established, and later on the Episcopalians held their services at his house. Tradition says that "the early Blakeslees were Episcopalians."
