Matilda Plantagenet FitzJohn
- Preferred Name: Matilda Plantagenet FitzJohn[1] [2]
- Gender: F
- FSID: GVDR-4JC
- Death: 1279 in Higham Gobion, Bedfordshire, England at LATI: N1.9826 LONG: E0.3939 with note: myheritage
- Birth: 1218 in Horton, Hardingstone, Northamptonshire, England at LATI: N2.1824 LONG: E0.8038 with note: myheritage
- Not+the+daughter+of+King+John: with note: Description: I have researched the children of King John, both legitimate and illegitimate, and the closest one I could find was Maud FitzRoy, Abbess of Barking, who died in 1252. It appears that she never married, so I don't believe that this Matilda (Maud is a nickname for Matilda) is the daughter of King John. Further evidence is needed.
Probably not King John's daughter. Her “mother” Hawise de Tracy would have been 50 years old at the time of her birth.
