Herbert de Orreby, son of Alard de Orreby, with Agnes, his wife, founded the priory of Hagneby, Lincoln. He had three sons:
1.) John, whose only daughter and heiress married Robert Willoughby of Eresby
2.) Phillip of Alvanley
3.) Herbert, grantee of Gawsworth, Cheshire, from Richard de Aldford.
Herbert de Orreby, son of Alard de Orreby, and Agnes his wife, founded the priory of Hagneby, Lincolnshire, during reign of Henry II, to whom succeeded John, his son, who died 41 Henry III. The Willoughbies of Eresby descended from John.
Herbert's second son was Philip, Justice of Cheshire, in 1202 whose wife was Alicia de Barnville. His third son of an unknown named married Lucia, and his fourth son was named Thomas
