  Humphrey de Berkeley of Glenfarqharlin , Co. Kincardine, who was also in possession of Conveth, Balfeith, Monboddo, and other lands in the modern parish of Fordoun in that county. Whether he inherited Glenfarqharlin from his father or received it direct from the Crown, is not known. He was also a benefactor to the monks of Arbroath, and presented them with the lands of Balfeith, aforesaid, which were afterwards, however, recovered by his brother and nephew, as will be shown presently. By Agatha, his spouse, he left issue
  an only child.
