  ↑ 2.0 2.1 2.2 CAUTION: "Royal Forefathers of Vera Joyce Fox, Kvamme," (n.d.), asserts that Robert is the son of Nigel de Plumpton (d. 1212) and his second wife, Juliana, dau. of Richard Warwick; and the father of Nigel (d. 1271/2). This contradicts Dugdale (1859), who states that he is the son of the first wife, Maria ... and also that Nigel (d. 1271/2), is the son of Petrus de Plumpton (bello contra 1216), not Robert.
