Biography
William was confirmed in his holdings by William de Mohun around 1150. He also witnessed a charter, circa 1160, which calls him the son of Durand. He similarly appears as a witness on a number of other charters by William de Mohun around the same time.
His son Ralph appears independently as a witness in a charter with Adam fitzDurand around 1174-1175, so he may have died sometime between 1160 and that time. However, a Pipe Roll dated 23 Henry II does mention him being fined a half mark for intruding on the king's forest, so most likely his death was either toward the end of that period or later.
Preferred Parents:
Father: Durand Mohun, The Stewart, b. 1104 in Withycombe, Somerset, England, United Kingdom
