    Note: Geoffroi de Porhoët is the second son of Eudes or Eudon I st viscount of Rennes and lord of Porhoët and his wife Emma or Anne de Léon. He succeeds at the head of the viscounty of Porhoët to his brother Joscelin II, who died around 1114 . Vast territory difficult to keep in a single seigneury, the viscounty of Porhoët was dismembered in 1120 when Geoffroi conceded to his brother Alain , as prerogative , the western part located on the right bank of the Oust, except Ploërmel and the surrounding area. de Josselin , which then becomes the viscount of Rohan1 . It receives King Henry I st of the kingdom of England fields in Devonshire . Before dying he takes the monastic habit and gives the monks of Saint-Martin de Josselin his share of the tithes of the parish of Guillac 2 . He married a certain Havoise / Hadvise who gave him several children 3 . Eudon II by Porhoët 4 . Joscelin died after 1153 . Alain († 1190 ) married Alix de Beaumais and inherited the estates in England where he was born (ancestor of the Zouche barons ). Amice, wife Guillaume de Montfort. Étienne de Gosselin who calls himself “ Stephanus de Castro Gosceline ”.

Geslin de Bourgogne records that Vicomte Joscelin donated property to the church of Saint-Martin in the castle of Porhoét, assisted by his brothers "Guihenæus, Geoffroy et Alain", by charter dated 1108[315]. He succeeded his brother before 1114 as Vicomte de Porhoët. "Gauffredus vicecomes de Porrehodio castro et fratres eius Alanus et Bernardus" reached agreement with the abbé of Marmoutiers regarding a donation by "frater suus Jostho vicecomes", by charter dated [1116][316]. "Gaufredus vicecomes filius Eudonis" donated property to the abbey of Saint-Martin, with the consent of "Alanum vicecomitem fratrem suum", by charter dated 1118, witnessed by "…Bernardus infans frater vicecomitis…"[317]. He was given a hundred in Devon by Henry I King of England, recorded in the 1131 Pipe Roll[318]. m HAWISE, daughter of ---. The primary source which confirms her marriage has not yet been identified.
