Dated circa 1160 by the National Archives, Murielda, the wife of Hughebert de Monte Canisio, gifted to the Abbey of the Monks of Cluny at Thetford, lands in Rixewurda [Rushworth] held in jointure with her son Hugh, whom she made a monk there. Between 1121 and 1135, the Bishop of Norwich confirmed an agreement between Willliam of Bacton and his uncle Roger de Valonges concerning land at Bacton and a fee held from the church of Norwich by charter.
