- Father+of+Adred+Bradford?: 1113 in England with note: Description: I have looked at all of the "sources" listed here and various other online family trees. but nowhere can I find a connection between Adred de Bradford and Guillaume d'Arques. It appears that Guillaume had only two daughters and no son. I would need more proof of this connection before I would add it into my own personal family tree.
Not sure of the connection

William de Arches was the son of Osbert de Arches. William along with his wife Ivetta, found the Benedictine Priory at Nun Monkton. There was no male heir to this family, so Thorp passed to Ivetta who married twice, first to Roger de Flamville, and second to Adam de Brus, of Skelton, in Cleveland, who survived his wife Ivetta.
William's wife Ivetta died in 1152, and was buried at Guisborough Priory, which was founded by Robert de Brus in 1119.

Publication: Name: http://www.british-history.ac.uk/vch/yorks/vol3/pp122-123;
Note: 16. THE PRIORY OF NUN MONKTON
This house appears from a confirmation by Archbishop Henry Murdac (1147-53), (fn. 1) to have been founded in the reign of Stephen by William de Arches and Ivetta his wife, who granted to God and St. Mary and to Maud their daughter and the nuns of Monkton 6 carucates of land in Monkton, and half a carucate in Hammerton, and the churches of ' Torp ' (Thorp Arch) (fn. 2) Hammerton, ' Escham' (Askham Richard), and ' Kirkby juxta Useburn' (Kirkby Wharfe). The latter church Elias de Ho had granted at the counsel of William de Arches.
The way in which the name of William and Ivetta's daughter, Maud, is introduced can only mean that she was prioress of the house.
