    Note: Juhel II of Mayenne (1110-23 November 1161), lord of Mayenne ( 1120 ), lord of Gorron and Ambrières . Biography Juhel II de Mayenne was son of Gautier, Lord of Mayenne and Alix de Beaugency, and consanguineous brother of Hamelin, born of the marriage of Gautier with Adeline d'Alençon. He married Clémence de Bellême, from whom he notably had: 1) Geoffroy III of Mayenne ; 2) Guillaume de Mayenne, fourth son 1 . From this Guillaume came a branch, where the name of this family was preserved until 1561, according to the Genealogical History of the House of Quatrebarbes . In 1140 , Mathilde l'Emperesse gave the land of Villaines , to Juhel de Mayenne, in thanks for the services he had rendered. The seigneury then took its name: Villaines-la-Juhel .
