  Robert Whitney (born c. 1440,[1] perhaps 1436 or 1443[2]) was son and heir of Eustace by Joan Trussell (he was their only child).[3] Robert Whitney, Esq., was Sheriff of Herefordshire, 1474-5.[4]
  He was described as "Robert Whyteney, esq., lord of Whyteney" in a deed documenting the gift of a messuage and 8 acres of arable land lying in Yeuanes Crofte to Howell ap Richard a Badam in 1474 (Whitney Manor Record #6). This record would indicate that he was not a knight, and that his death was at least after 1474.
