13 Thomas Yale was Captain in the Army of Charles I. He married in 1649, Dorothea, daughter of Humphrey Hughes, Esq., Baron of Kymmer, in Edeyrnion, and had a son, Humphrey Yale, from whom the late Miss Sarah Yale, the last of the direct line of the family, was descended. By her will, which was proved in 1821, she entailed the Plas yn Iâl estates upon William Parry, fourth son of Thomas Parry Jones Parry of Madryn, Esq., M.P., grand nephew of Miss Yale's mother. William Parry Jones Parry, in compliance with the above will, assumed the name of Yale, and is the present Lieut. Col. Yale of Plas-yn-Yale.

Osbwrn's other son, Cynwrig, apparently received the portion of Cors Gedol which contained his father's living quarters and he was usually described as "of Cors Gedol". Born c. 1265, Cynwrig married Nest ferch Cynwrig ap Madog ap Cadifor ap Cynillin ap Gwaithfoed of Meirionydd [7], a lady born about 1275. Their only known son was Llewelyn ap Cynwrig, born about 1295.
