  According to later pedigrees, an English soldier named Walter Sais, settled near Tretower, moved to Bredwardine [sic] after marrying Sir Walter Bredwardine's daughter named Florence.
  
  Walter Seys married the only daughter and heiress of Sir Walter Bredwardine [sic] and lived at his wife's home. His son Rhosier Hen inherited and married a daughter of Sir Walter Devereaux a famous and influential family who later became the earls of Essex.
