    Note: Walter Rittabard [Riddlesford], Chief Baron of Leinster, who in 1235 commanded the English of Leinster[1] Margaret de Ridelesford, daughter of Walter de Ridelesford, married Robert de Marisco, son of Geoffrey de Marisco, Justiciar of Ireland.[2] They had a daughter Christiana de Marisco.[2] His other daughter Emmelina married firstly Hugh de Lacy, Earlo of Ulster, and secondly Stephen de Longespee.[2] Walter de Ridelesford was alive in 1237 but dead by May 1244.[2] In 1244 there was an inquiry concerning the lands of Walter de Ridelesford, grandfather of Christiania, daughter and one of the heirs of Robert de Marisco.[2] Notes Walter Riddlesford was born in 1180 in Carriebenan, Kildare, Ireland.     Note: Walter de Riddlesford (fl. 1150 – d. 1226) was an Anglo-Norman lord who was granted in Ireland the baronies of Bray, County Wicklow and Kilkea, County Kildare between 1171 and 1176. De Riddlesford was born in Carriebenan, Kildare, Ireland. He married a daughter of Henry fitz Henry named Amabilis Fitzhenry. He built a motte and bailey fortress on the site of what is now Kilkea Castle in County Kildare in 1181. He died in 1226 and was succeeded by his son Walter. His granddaughter, Emmeline, married Hugh de Lacy, 1st Earl of Ulster (as his second wife) and, then, Stephen Longespée, son of William Longespée, 3rd Earl of Salisbury and grandson of Henry II of England (one of their daughters was Ela Longespee).[2][3][4]
