  Andregoto, wife of Sancho Macertatiz, is known to have come from the family of Andregoto Galindez, as she refers to the queen as her 'ancestor' in a charter. However, the queen lived more than a century before the wife of Maceratiz - they were not the same person. The exact nature of the relationship between the two is unknown, and it is not even clear whether the queen was a genealogical direct ancestor, or instead an ancestral aunt. Most scholars have concluded that the younger Andregoto was a descendant of the queen's sister Velasquita.
