Thomas Corridon GROAT, the son of John Groat (91) and Affogena Ann Blakesley, was born at Albion, Illinois, October 13, 1846. He served in the Southern Army during the Civil War, enlisting as a private in Company B, 23rd Kentucky Infantry, at Covington, Kentucky, October 14, 1861. He was discharged at Chattanooga, Tennessee, February 3, 1864, but re-enlisted June 5, 1864. He was finally discharged June 18, 1865. Thomas Corridon remained a bachelor, and died January 10, 1910, at Chicago, Illinois.
