  There is a lot of confusion concerning the wife of Richard Sawtell.
  
  The only marriage record that can be found shows that Richardus Sawtell married Elizabeth Pople 05 Feb 1627 in High Ham, Somerset, England. If this is correct, then they both would have been about 16 yrs old, which was acceptable at the time. Also, if correct, would mean that there are missing children that would have been born 1628-1634.
  
  Sawtell Genealogy states that Elizabeth is the daughter of Richard Kimball and Ursula Scott.
  Familysearch.org states that her name is Elizabeth Pope and the daughter of John & Edith (West) Pope.
  "Our American Ancestry" written by Frederick T Gates states that Elizabeth is the daughter of Thomas Post.
  
  In ancestry, this Elizabeth Pople is listed as child of Stephen Pope 1574-1640 & Jane Neame 1780-1610 England.
