  Biography
  William Gentleman of Southwold was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Southwold.[1] he is roughly estimated to have been born about 1515.
  He was married to Margaret Balden about 1540. He named his father-in-law Henry Balden in his will. Both William Gentleman and Henry Balden were bailiffs of Southwold in 1561.
