Hall NOTES ON STAFFORDSHIRE FAMILIES STAFFS PUB A. VOL 1910 PAGE 257 In 1542 the following will was proved at Lichfield. Thomas Adhams of Mucclestone, Co. Staff. dated March 13th 1541/2. Proved Oct 2nd 1542. The testator disires to be buried in the churchyard of Mucclestone, and leaves to son Wylliam a pote, to Maud Hewyard 2 heyfars, etc; also ayewe and a lamb (apice) to Wylliam Wallton's Chylders, and Hugh Hampton' chyldren, and to a son John's chyldren. To Richard, my servant, a cote. Residue of goods to be divided into two parts, one part to go to Alys my wife and the other part to John and William my sons. And in case Henry Hampton hath bequeathed by his laful wyll and testa- ment to his daughter Margaret Adhams a chyldes part of nys goods then I wyll that halfe of my goods to be indefferently divided unto John and Wylliam my sons and Margaret Hampton my daughter. Ex. Alys my Wiffe & John & William my sones Overseers.--------
