  There is a heap of conflicting information regarding the parentage of Katherine - even the Heralds Visitations of Devon & Cornwall in the years 1531, 1564, and 1620 are in conflict when one views the various family trees. Vivian's Visitations put her as daughter of Humphrey Fulford, The Visitations of Devon in 1620 put her as the daughter of Henry Fulford who lived 2 generations before Humphrey Fulford. In A Genealogical & Heraldic History of the Commoners of Great Britain & Ireland Vol IV it states Humphrey died without issue. and yet it makes more sense that Humprey (son of Phillipa Coutenay & Sir Thomas Fulford) is Katherine's father given the years he lived. The facts and dates are all very confused, none adding up without assumptions being made. Katherine's husband John, according to Vivian, was aged 23 at the time of his fathers death (1472) putting his birth around 1449. Katherine herself died in 1525 so for her to have been the daughter of Henry we have John firstly marrying someone a generation or two older than he, and secondly who also lived to be over 100. Although this did happen sometimes, its simply all too speculative.
