  There is some decripency on who she was decended from. The visitation of Shropshire names her as the daughter of John Seymore. Both Burke Peerage and "The House of Cornwall" , 1908, name her as the daughter of Sir John Merbury, and name Richard's mother, who is also Cicilia, the daughter of Sir John Seymour. Either option has no evidence, however. Another theory is made by Paul Reed in his book, "Decent of St. Maur family of co. Monmouth and Seymour family of Hatch, co. Somerset", which is that she is the daughter of Roger Seymour, John Seymour's brother. He does explain it and offer some reasoning, but still fails to show evidence.
