SIR KNIGHT RICHARD FOWLER was born about 1420 of Rycote, Oxfordshire, England, toSir William Fowler (1401-1452) and Cecilia Englefield (1403-1447.) He married Joan Danvers about 1446, of Rycote, Oxfordshire, England.
Richard Fowler died 3 November 1477, Lancashire, England, age 57.

He was the son of William Fowler of Preston manor in Buckinghamshire and Cecilia Englefield de Rycote. [1] He inherited the manor after his father's death. He was also the nephew of Sybil Quartermain who lived at Rycote, Oxfordshire and he lived in their ancestral home at North Weston, Somerset. They had no surviving children and he also inherited their estate.[2]
He held several posts including king's solicitor from 1461 to 1470 (the first to hold this post) and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster from 1462 to 1477, before being appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer from 1469 to 1471 and Under-Treasurer of England in 1471. He was knighted by Edward IV in 1467.
He married Joane Danvers, daughter of John Danvers, Lord of Ipwell and Banbury, and his second wife Joane (Bruley) Danvers.[1][3]

Research Notes
Richard was the ancestor of the Fowler Baronets of Harnage Grange, which is mentioned in his wikipedia article and the Fowler Baronets article. However, it is not sourced in either. Moved the statement down here for now.
JOAN DANVERS was born about 1422 of Cothrop, Oxfordshire, England, to John Danvers (1375-1448) and Lady Jane Bruley (1406-1450.) She married Richard Fowler about 1446 of Rycote, Oxfordshire, England.
Joan Danvers passed away 5 April 1505, Thame, Oxfordshire, England, age 83. Buried at Buckingham, Aylesbury Vale District, Buckinghamshire, England.

Richard [V] Chamberlain, on 6 Feb 1471/2 received a demise and quitclaim from Thomas Lenton of named manors in the counties of Lincoln, Cambridge, and Northampton, and in London, and Richard [V] and SIBYL [FOWLER] his wife, had the same in the counties of Buckingham and Bedford. On 30 Nov 1476, Joan, late wife of William Chamberlain, esquire, sister of Thomas Lydyard, esquire, gave a release and quitclaim to Richard [V] Chamberlain, esquire, brother of the said William, and Sibyl, his [Richard V’s] wife… On 18 Aug 1496, Richard Chamberlain, “squire” made his will, proved 19 Oct 1496. The issues of Swaffham Prior and Denford were to be used to provide for his three younger sons, William, Thomas, and John, and his daughter, Anne, and to accumulate a competent sum for a convenient marriage to be had for his daughter. He died 28 Aug 1496, leaving his eldest son and heir Edward, aged 16. His wife Sibyl was identified as the daughter of Richard Fowler. Sibyl’s mother was Joan, wife of Richard Fowler, and daughter of John Danvers and Joan Bruley. Joan (Danvers) Fowler died 5 Apr 1505….
