  1401, qy of full age in 1376, or admitted to the court rolls only by custom.
  He was one of four esquires of the body to Richard 2, found six archers for the
  service against the Scots, for which he had a grant of the town of Weston in
  Leicestershire for life (22 R 2). He also served in Ireland under Richard 2,
  and against the Welsh, and was at the battle of Agincourt, and his name
  accordingly appears in the roll preserved in the British Museum as one of the
  Lances in the following of the then Earl Marshall, John, the son of Thomas de
  Mowbray. Will and ob. Oct 1423.
