  Sheriff of Northamptonshire in 1329 and 1335 and chief forester of Whittlewood Forest (from Dictionary of National Biography, Vol. 62, p. 445). He was summoned to Parliament as a baron in 1341 and, in 1361 he was named as one of the eleven Justices of the Peace to be appointed to the first Commission of the Peace for Northamptonshire.
