=== Warin de Lisle (Lord Lisle, and presuma ===
Warin de Lisle (Lord Lisle, and presumably, according to modern doctrine, Lord Teyes), and aged 30 at his father's death. He was already a Knight in Oct., 1359, when he was setting out for France with Henry, Earl of Lancaster. In July, 1360, his father having held no lands in chief, the escheator had been ordered not to interfere, and in August having livery, Richard, Earl of Arundel, undertaking to answer should it be found out that any of the lands were held in chief. In Dec., 1363, Warin de Lisle was ordered to bestir himself in the capture of the malefactors who had lately lived by plunder in foreign parts and were not committing outrages in Wiltshire, etc., as he had hitherto failed in his duty in this matter. In 1364 he was made a commissioner of the peace in Berkshire, and was appointed on other commissions later. He was summoned to Parliament 6 April, 1369, 43rd Edward III, to 24 March, 1381/2, 5th of Richard II, by writ directed Warin de Insula. In July, 1369, he had protection on going overseas in company of the Duke of Lancaster, and about the same time he was appointed Captain and Keeper of Portsmouth. In 1372 he was allowed to appoint attorneys for a year, being engaged in the King's service as a banneret, with four knights, five esquires, and ten men-at-arms. On March 5, 1366/7, he had license to Crenellate, his house at Sherburn, County Oxford. He was still engaged in wars in France, but in April, 1380, was sent on the King's service in Ireland. He married 1st, in or before 1359, Margaret, widow of Robert FitzEly and daughter and co-heir of Sir William Pypard by Margery, his wife. She died 3 August, 1375. He married 2nd Joan, widow of John Wynnow. He died 28 June, 1382. His widow died 27 April, 1392, holding lands in dower from both her husbands. By his 1st wife he had Gerard, who died in the lifetime of his father without issue, and a daughter Margaret. (The Pypard family originated with William, who was Sheriff of Gloucester from 1164 to 1171. His son Gilbert was Sheriff of the same county, and married Alice, 3rd daughter and co-heir to William FitzDuncan, Earl of Merrel, or Murray, in Scotland. He died in the Holy Land 1189. William had six knight's fees. and from these descended Sir William Pypard, above.) The Complete Peerage vol.VIII,pp.48-49.

!Weis. 39-33. Warin de Lisle was Lord Lisle. There is another Warin de Lisle in the data base. This Warin had a daughter born in 1360. The other Warin had died by 1308 when his widow Alice married Sir Robert Fitz Walter. See Weis. 148-29. This Warin would be of a generation to have been a grandson of the older one if not a great grandson; needs research to determine if he is related.
