  Most likey died during the influenza epidemic of the early 1900. (We now know false)
  
  Our family figure's Henry's immune system was weakened from diabeties. Diabetics was not discovered till later in the 1900s. Because of our family's history of the diesease, and through deduction, we believed Henery suffered from it also. He was known to drink heavily, probally as a anesthic for the pain. He died at age 49.
  
  For whatever reason Henry was not popular with my Mom's relatives. The older adults in her family refused to speak about him.
  
  After receiving Hermans Death Certificate, we now know he died from pulmonary tuberculosis. We also know why no one spoke of his name. During the time period that Herman lived, people with pulmonary tuberculosis were quarintined in a hospital. Herman was quarintined and spent11 years in the Norfolk Hospital for the Insane till the day he died. The family considered Herman dead the first day he was quarintined. And because of the illpercieved, false, uneducated, stigma of the diesease, no one spoke about him hence.

  Mary kassmeier (4-15-1869/4-15-1959), daughter of Henry and Elizabeth(krienert) Kassmeier, married Herman Figgner. They had four children. Anna (2-24-1894 / 2-19-1981) never married. She was employed as apriest's housekeeper. Elizabeth (7-24-1892 / 8-4-1982) married Nick Emanuel (12-5-1883/ 6-9-1974). They are parents of two daughters. Mary married Paul Cotter and resides in Georgia. Kathleen married Albert Grothe (spelling wrong) and resides in California: Henry (1896/1984) married Ruby Rumery (1905/ 1955). Their children are Eugene (1-4-30) married Geraine Faltys and lives in Fremont. Donald (2-11-32) married Lucille Borowiak and lives at Albion. Richard (7-16-34 / 9-94) married Janice Fisher. David (2-16-38) married Joyce Dozler and lives at Cedar Rapids: and Joe (11-15-1897 / 7-8-1994) married Bertha StrudI(7-28-1905 / 4-23-1993). They had two children. Leo resides on the home place. Elaine married Lambert Shonka and lived at Schuyler. Shedied march 7, 1983.
