Richard (II) Chamberlain, born ca 1310, was first named in 1327, when on the death of Robert de Baldock, the remainder of the manor of Stanbridge fell to Richard (II), son of John Chamberlain, and MARGARET ___, his wife….in 1346 Richard had a second wife, KATHERINE DE LA DALE, age 36, daughter and heir of Thomas de Berkele of Woloston, co. Nothants….Katherine…died without issue. Will proved 2 Nov 1391. He was survived by a third wife, JOHANNA _____, who at her death in 1413 was named as widow of Richard Chamberlain, "chivaler". The will mentions a daughter, Elizabeth, nun of Chickesand, and a son Richard (III), an executor.
