The feet of fines for Somersetshire, published as volume 12 by the Somerset Record Society (1898) for the Octave of trinity 1342-3, states that John, son of Hugh de Langelonde, and Isabella, his wife, were querents for land in Southbrent. In turn, Octave of Trinity, 1330-1, Hugh, son of Nicholas Langelonde and Margaret, his wife, were querents for land in Southbrent.
Nicholas de Langelonde, of Brent and Burnham, Somersetshire, died shortly before 8 Apr 1312 (Cal. IPM, 5: no. 423). He was Sheriff of Somersetshire and Dorsetshire 1306-1307, a justice in Dorset 1309 and supervisor of array in Somerset and Dorset 1311 (Knights of Edward I, 3: 13). His wife is not known. His son:
Sir Hugh Langelonde, of Brent and Burnham. Born c1295; Sheriff of Somerset and Dorset 1330-1. he is called a knight in a Somerset fine of 1353 involving his son John. His wife was Margaret Furneaux, living 1330/1, daughter of Sir Mathew Furneaux (d. 1316), of Ashington and Kilve, Somerset and his wife, Matilda de Raleigh (fl. 1318).
The Furneaux family is well written up in John Collinson's The History and Antiquities of the County of Somerset (1791), 3: 212-214 and Miscellanea Genealogica et Heraldica, Third Series, vol. 3 (1900), p. 272-276, as well as many citations in the Somerset Feet of Fines.
