  The genealogist John P Ravilious, who has had a large number of articles published in the "Scottish Genealogist" published by the Scottish Genealogy Society, has an article that purportedly identifies Margaret as a daughter of David Lindsay and wife of Patrick Gray of Broxmouth. Scots Peerage does show that Patrick had a wife named Margaret.
