Otto II Herzog von Bayern was born on 12 April 1206. He was the son of Ludwig I Herzog von Bayern and Ludmilla von Böhmen.2 He married Agnes von Braunschweig, daughter of Heinrich I von Zelle, Duke of Saxony and Bavaria and Agnes Hohenstaufen, circa 1225. He died on 29 November 1253 at age 47.
Otto II Herzog von Bayern also went by the nick-name of Otto 'the Noble'.2 He was Herzog von Bayern.3 Er ist der Herzog von Bayern. Er war auch ein 'von Wittelsbach'. Die Grafen von Bogen starben im Jahr 1242 aus. Deren Reich und somit die gesamte Erbschaft bekam Otto II. Und er verewigte 1247 das Rautenmuster der Grafen von Bogen, indem er diesesin das Wittelsbacher Wappen einfügte.3 He succeeded as the Herzog von Bayern in 1231.1

Après la mort d'Otton II, la Bavière fut scindée en deux : d'une part, la Haute-Bavière et le Palatinat rhénan (qui reviennent à Louis II le Sévère) jusqu'à l'élection impériale de 1314, d'autre part, la Basse-Bavière, qui revient au second fils d'Otton II, Henri Ier. A la mort de Jean Ier en 1340, descendant d'Henri Ier, l'héritage de la Basse-Bavière passa à la branche des Wittelsbach qui règne sur la Haute-Bavière.
