Sir William de Moravia, who is designed 'of Petyn' in a letter from King Henry III of England to the Pope, dated in 1244. He also was knighted by Alexander II, as his son Walter is designed 'filius domini Willelmi de Moravia' in a charter dated in the same year. He died before March 1253. By his wife, who is said to have been a daughter of Malcolm, Earl of Fife, he had a son. [The Scots Peerage II:123]
