=== Life Sketch ===
The St Aubyn family pedigree on p437 of Vivian's Visitations of Cornwall shows that Mauger de Sancto Albino who died in 1291 had sons Guy, Stephen and John, as well as Mauger the son & heir. A fine dated 1318 proves that the heirs of Mauger junior were his sisters Joan and Isabelle, which means he did not have any brothers, or at least none that were still living in 1318. The fine between Guy de Sancto Albino and Isabelle de Sancto Albino settles the manor of Parracombe upon Isabelle (presumably the widow of Mauger senior) with successive remainders to Stephen de Sancto Albino, his brother John and finally to Guy in the event that Stephen and John die without issue. Joan and Isabelle, Mauger's sisters and heirs both put in claims. However, the manor eventually passed to John St Aubyn, upon the death of Isabelle the elder. But Stephen, John and Guy cannot be Mauger's brothers, because if they were, the remaining St Aubyn and Pidekeswell manors would have passed to the eldest surviving brother, not to the sisters Joan and Isabelle - and it is beyond doubt that the entire St Aubyn inheritance, apart from Parracombe, did pass to Joan and Isabelle.
So who were Guy, Stephen and John of the abovementioned fine? It seems most likely that they are brothers of Mauger senior. It looks as if the manor of Parracombe may have been under an entail by which it passed to the next male heir of Mauger junior, rather than to his sisters.
The pedigree in Visitations also shows that Guy had a wife named Margaret, citing as evidence a fine made in 1332. I think, however, that this fine more likely relates to his son, Guy junr, as Guy senior would have been quite old, and possibly dead, by 1332.
There was an agreement in 1320 between Guy and Alice de Knovile for Guy to marry Alice' daughter, Eleanor, who would have been about 8 or 9 years old at the time. This agreement could also possibly relate to Guy junr. If this marriage ever took place it was without issue, as none of the St Aubyns shared in the Knovile inheritance. By 1332 Eleanor was married to John Dune.
