=== This Peter Mountfort does not appear to ===
This Peter Mountfort does not appear to be the son of John de Montfort and Alice de La Plaunche. My records show his birthdate as 1403 and I do not show a spouse for him. Also, the New Family Search file had this Peter's first child born when the mother was only five years old. By correcting the family for proper marrying age and to fit descendants, the children of the first marriage are being born during the same period as the children of the second marriage. The original record also showed the conflict.

BARONY OF MONTFORT (III)
PIERS (DE MONTFORT), LORD MONTFORT, brother and heir. On 14 June 1312,when he must have been under age, he was instituted to the rectory ofIlmington, co. Warwick, being described as "clerk." He was summoned formilitary service against the Scots 20 August 1316.
