Henry de la Wade was the falconer to King Richard I (Lion heart). He had one son, Henry de la Wade (1802-1887).
1191- Held 2 hides in Stanton Harcourt of the gift of the King. Eynsham under the Monks, Chambers, 1936, p. 20
1192- Henry de la Wade the falconer to King Richard I. Obligations of Society, Poole, 1946, p. 69 (This included the tasks of strewing fodder for the kings' beasts; and mowing and carrying hay in the King's park at Woodstock, where King Henry kept a menagerie of animals).
1202 - Birth of his son Henry de la Wade
1202 - Dies and custody of his land is delivered to Geoffrey de Hauvill until young Henry came of age.
