  John de Bulmer was born about 1195, and he died about 1256. In 1243 John held of Peter de Maulay a knight's fee in Bulmer and Welburn. In 1253 he had a grant of free warren of the same lands. The last record of him seems to be in 1255 when "John le Veyl de Bulemere" had exemption for life from serving on juries.
