Robert Constable of Halsham
- Preferred Name: Robert Constable of Halsham
- Alternate Name: Robert Constable
- Alternate Name: Robert de Lacy Sir
- Gender: M
- FSID: 2WNJ-B72
- Charter+Witness: with note: Description: "As Robert son of the constable, he witnessed two charters of Gilbert de Gant earl of Lincoln to Bridlington priory 1147-56, and as Robert son of WIlliam the constable of Chester, earl Gilbert's charter giving Rufford and other land to Rufford abbey which was founded in 1146-8.... It is probable that he was an illegitimate son of William son of William son of Nigel, constable of Chester, rather than a son of the elder William; and that he can be identified with the Robert the Constable who married one of the four daughters and coheirs of William Tison, obtaining through her an interest in Holme upon Spalding Moor and other places which had been held by Gilbert Tison in 1086, and who was living as late as 1185.
